My first setback

Up until this point I have been dutifully following Hal Higdon's Intermediate 1 plan (http://www.halhigdon.com/marathon/MaraIntermediate1.html) and I have been slightly overrunning all of my runs w/ no problem. Last night was my 2nd long run and... I had to walk:( Here is my fbook status the following day which sums it up appropriately:

So... It appears I am human:) I began my 9mi run w/ good intentions. On the way back as I pushed 5-6mi my knee/hip were screaming at me to walk for the first time. So I did... :( I alternated run/walk most of the way back. Then I decided to up the game and barefoot walk the last 1.5mi to train my feet (http://www.barefootrunner.com/) and now I have water blisters on both heels. Groan. LOL, At least I can laugh at myself:)
My first tangible evidence that I am still a beginner runner. I will learn from this experience. Next weeks run is a recover week, which is appropriately timed, and the long run is only 6mi. I ran 8mi last Sunday, so I am not too worried about it.
